Can You Really Learn to do Anything?

Updated: Feb 10, 2019

Have you ever given up on a goal because you didn’t believe you could achieve it? Have you ever failed to attempt to do something because it seemed too far out of reach? It’s common for people to give up on their goals because they do not believe in themselves.

What if there was a process that brings seemingly impossible goals within reach? If a process existed, what would you attempt to do or learn?

The #MBE Learning Method was created to help overcome barriers such as time, wasted effort, and lack of self-belief. The methodology pairs learning how to acquire skills more efficiently and programming your mind to believe that you can achieve your goal. The #MBE Learning Method helps you work smarter - not harder - and brings your goals within reach.

The #MBE Learning Method is 5 easy steps. It combines the use of goal-setting, manifestation and meta-learning to accomplish your goal. It takes a rough idea of what you want to achieve and turns it into a formal SMART goal. The methodology also provides you with an activity to help program your sub-conscious to increase your self-belief. After running your goal through the #MBE Learning Method, you will have 4 items you need to focus on to achieve your goal based on your current knowledge and skill level.

Step A: Analyze and Mentally Prepare

The first step, Analyze and Mentally Prepare, consists of creating a SMART goal and practicing a manifestation technique to mentally prepare yourself to achieve your goal. The instructions are as follows:

Turn What You Want to Achieve into A SMART goal

To start, grab a pen (or No. 2 pencil) and paper so you can write down your goal. Studies show that people who write down their goals are more likely to achieve their goals than those who do not. Writing down your goal not only helps you achieve your goal, but it will also help you remember your goal.

In your own words, write down what you want to learn or be able to do.

Now write down why achieving the goal or learning the new skill it is important to you. Your “why” will be used throughout the #MBE Learning Method and will help keep you motivated while working on your goal or learning the new skill.

Now take what you first wrote down and write it in the form of a SMART goal. Use your “why” to help you write your SMART goal. The “SMART” in SMART goal stands for:

· Specific – something that is well defined. Try to answer the five “W” questions.

· Measurable – so you can track, assess your goal and stay motivated.

· Attainable – the goal must be realistic and achievable. If you do not believe you can achieve the goal, you decrease your chances of success.

· Relative – does achieving the goal matter to you? Does it align with your greater purpose in life?

· Time-bound – set a target date so you have something to work towards.

Writing what you want to achieve in the form a SMART goal will help you organize your energy around the goal. It will make what you want to achieve crystal clear for you, which will increase your chances of achieving your goal. One thing to beware of is setting a goal that someone else has power over. You want to make sure that you have control of achieving your goal.

Manifestation Technique

Manifesting reality can be explained as bringing things into your life by using your thoughts and beliefs. It leverages the Law of Attraction, which in its most basic form is the belief that like attracts like. In other words, if you believe positive thoughts, you will attract positive experiences. Alternatively, if you believe negative thoughts, you will attract negative experiences in your life.

Whether you believe the Law of Attraction or manifesting reality to be true, there is something to be said about thinking positively. Your thoughts lead to what you believe. What you believe is programmed into your sub-conscious. Your sub-conscious mind will lead your decision making whether you are conscious of it or not. These decisions will lead to your actions, and your actions will turn into your reality. You follow me?

For example, if you think positively about your goal (i.e. that you will achieve your goal), you will believe that you can achieve your goal. When you believe that you can achieve your goal, you will take actions to achieve your goal. Every decision you make – big or small – will be aligned with achieving your goal. If you take enough actions to achieve your goal, you will achieve your goal.

Here are 3 steps to help program your sub-conscious to achieve your goal:

1) Have a concise choice of positive words. You’ve done this by writing what you want to achieve in the form of a SMART goal.

2) Clearly visualize what you want to achieve. See it with your mind’s eye.

3) Have a corresponding feeling of what you want to achieve. In other words, reach out and touch your goal.

Keep in mind, words alone are not enough. For example, if you said, “I love pizza.” You would need to be more detailed. The statement describes who (you). It describes the feeling (love). It describes the “what” but not in enough detail. What kind of pizza do you love? Pep & mush? Ham & pineapple? Thin or thick crust? Homemade or store bought? Thus, you need to be very detailed with what you want to achieve so that when you are visualizing yourself achieving your goal, you can get a clear feeling of achieving your goal. Feeling is the most important thing when it comes to bringing anything into your life.

I believe that anything is possible. When it comes to belief, why not believe in yourself? Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world where anything is possible? Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world where you can be whom you want to be and do what you desire to do? I believe we live in this world, do you?
